If you open the back hatch. Remove the tread panel. Then remove the three screws holding the driver’s side cargo panel and start popping back that panel a little. Do not need to remove the whole panel just a bit to pull back a bit. It was behind that panel. Pre-wired for a tow harness but apparently the new harness hasn’t been released to markets yet (according to KIA dealership). It’s an 8 pin male plug.
We use one of these. A little pricey, but works great!Great, thanks for the info. A lot of stuff is not out yet for the 2026, but a lot of the 2025 accessories do fit.
Still trying to find a phone mount that clips to the screen..
No. Didn’t try. Don’t know where to look. Not that I could do anything. Needs to be a powered harnessDid you ever figure out the pin-out schematic for this plug?
Yes the '23 & '26 dashes look a bit different. The ProClip would mount in the blank space between the two screens, behind the upper right side of the steering wheel.I looked on the site and they didnt list anything for 2026.. I ordered a similar one from amazon for a 2025 and it did not fit..
I managed to build one from various parts..

If you can find out the part #, there are usually Kia dealers that sell online at a decent discount. They should also be able to find it via your VIN #.I just called a dealer in my area (Roseville, CA) and they told me Kia has released the factory trailer wiring harness for the 2026 Sportage. Their price is $283.00.I don't think I am willing to pay that, but it is good to know the product is now available. Hoping Curt or another knockoff becomes available soon!

It’s a pretty darn easy DIY job. I didn’t even bother fishing it out to the bottom of the bumper. I won’t tow that much, so just left the connector curled up under the cargo floor and will lay it out under the bottom hatch seam to the trailer when needed:I'm scheduled for installation early December for the wiring harness, so if this isn't answered before then I'll try to respond back then with the part #
