I wish my dealer had known about the issues with the anti-theft update and offered me a choice before he uploaded it to my vehicle. I had the anti-theft update installed at the end of last October and ever since then my remote start won't work because my car thinks someone is trying to steal it because of the update installed. This issue has involved numerous visits back to the dealer, emails to customer service as well as phone calls, a certified letter to the CEO of KIA America (which he never acknowledged) and then the dealer keeping my car 2.5 weeks trying to work around the issue. After all the research I did on here after this happened it seems that yes, KIA knew there was a glitch with the update and remote starts but kept doing the update anyway. I told my dealer back in November that since they cannot uninstall the update that they needed to make my car what it was before the update and give me a new computer with no update in it. Finally after almost 4 months they are going to do that because they have no other resolve. This is supposed to take place next week. Will see what happens.
