I paid 2K market adjustment. Is that reasonable?
I paid MSRP. I wanted an LX with FWD because it gets better gas mileage than the AWD. I had to wait 3 months to get what I wanted. I made it clear from the start what I thought about market adjustments, and fortunately, the dealer said they didn't like them either.

I would have made that choice, too. I am 75 and do not need to go out if the roads are bad, and I do not plan to go off-road. But it seemed that to get FWD, I would have to go from West Virginia to a dealer in Florida or Georgia. If I could find one in the colors and features I wanted. Big if.I paid MSRP. The EX level features suited me quite well, and FWD was not available on that trim level.
I kept scanning the on-line inventory of local dealers and finally found a listing (2 of them really) at a dealer 3 hours away in the interior and exterior colors I wanted. Neither was on the lot yet (in transit) and I put down a deposit on one.
I would also have considered a Toyota RAV4 hybrid,a but the dealer told me the wait was at least 6 months.

I heard the same thing from a Toyota dealer. The other thing about the RAV I didn't like is they're all AWD. I had several Civics that I had good experiences with, so I looked at the CR-V. Just paid MSRP for a Sportage Prestige HEV - got it same day as it was on the lot. In Lincoln, NE.
How is everyone's gas Milage? I have a front wheel drive and I don't get 25 mpg I average like 23 ish.
