Sportage hybrid: plug-in vs. battery?

If you make frequent trips of less than 35 miles round trip around town, the plug in will be your best bet. It even comes with a level 1 charger which works well for me when away from home. I have 2024 Sportage plug in hybrid. Just wondering has anyone discussed on the forum about leaving gas in the tank for long periods of time. We are retired and I have been only running in EV mode for the 4 months that I have had the car. The tank has been full since I bought it but I’m old school and always used some kind of additive in my home engines when they were going to sit unused for a long periods of time. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
