Have a brand new 26 sportage hybrid(1.6l turbo) for almost 2 weeks .(450 mi).keep hearing what sounds like an annoying "valve tap or lifter clack like "sound for 2-3 sec under normal acceleration , even when motor warm. Other then that engine extremely quite and smooth . I checked oil and its perfect level. On my 2nd tank gas reg oct.In my online research, I read others mention similar noise attributing it to high pressure direct fuel injectors used in this engine . Anyone else experience this ? I am going to call Kia service dept and see what they say and have them check it out . Very least ,.I would like it documented in service record that this is happening from day one. Could be something else like loose heat shield vibrating or exhaust manifold leak etc... thanks for any feedback.
