Hello,

Currently own a 2024 Sportage Hybrid EX AWD with 7K miles.

Around 6K miles I started experiencing a clunk or knocking noise from the front end when coming to a stop.

I have brought it to the dealership twice with them being able to replicate the noise the first visit but not the second.

They performed a brake pad embedding procedure the first visit which only got rid of the sound for 24 hours. The second time I believe they did the same thing again.

Well the noise is back and now it’s going back for a third time in two weeks.

Has anyone else had this issue so early on?

I have included some YouTube video links of the noise below. Listen carefully towards the end of each video.

Thanks!
Matt

Probably the latter. Haven’t seen this mentioned in other forums either.

I don't reply unless I have or have had the problem or read of someone else that has had it and what the resolution was. I haven't heard of this problem before. But let us know what the resolution ends up being if you could. Sorry you are having this problem, but maybe you will end up helping someone else in the future.

My '24 Sportage EX Hybrid had a clunking noise when I would start driving after switching to either drive or reverse. I took it into the dealer and they wound up replaced the rear differential. Problem is now resolved. Not sure if this is same as your issue, but I hope it helps.

I have a 2023 with this issue. Dealer replaced brakes and rotors. Replaced the strut assembly on both sides. Noise is still there. They said it’s the struts breaking in now and to give it a little time. I really don’t like that answer. My gut is telling me it’s the actual steering linkage. When I crawl under and grab the arms and turn the wheel I can feel it.

I have the same issue. Front Caliper replaced, that did not fix the problem. He said it was brake switches, replaced, did not fix the problem. Dealer said it was the rear calipers, replaced, did not fix the problem. Dealer now says it is the ABS system. It is a shame that KIA dealership cannot fix their own cars. Customers now are more informed that ever. Dealers fixing whatever they think is only getting the customer frustrated. I still think that the ABS system will not fix the problem. They need to reach out to KIA in KOREA to find out what is going on or talk to other car dealerships to understand what is going on. KIA owners cannot be having the same issues that KIA dealership cannot resolve. You would think that they are the experts. Alternatively, put the cars issue on a recall to figure out what the issues are since the cost runs into thousands.
