So I changed from halogen to led bulbs.
Error message came up so I installed led canbus decoder, now driver side works great, passenger side does not light up at all. Switched lights, drivers side still works, passenger does not, Switched decoder, no change. I've tried switching every combination, no change. Led lights work on both sides without decoder, but still get error message. Reinstalled halogen bulbs and both work. What am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Wife's starting to question my abilities.

I'm not an electrician by any stretch of the imagination, but since LED's use reduced voltage, wouldn't you need some sort of resistor wired in to compensate for the difference that the computer is used to seeing?

That's what the canbus decoder does

Sounds like the decoders don't work with the system. Use load resistors to trick the system into thinking they are still halogen bulbs.
What's the difference? I'm used to working on older cars, all this computer stuff is confusing, but I'm trying to learn as i go.
I have a 2016 silverado, these lights are going on wife's 2022 sportage, when I change the truck to led it was just plug and play. I thought the newer car would be the same.
So could you explain the difference to me?
Please and thank you

Not sure of the difference, but in my Sorento, I had to use load resistors to make them work and I had the same problem before the resistors. The passenger side wouldn't work. I never tore the BCM apart to see the internals, nor did i care to since I figured out the problem. I can't guarantee this will take care of it for you, but it did for me on a 2016 Sorento.

Thank you I'll give them a try
