Radiator fan starts by itself without the car being used.

I haven’t been able to find the exact answer for this question. We have a 2018 Sportage. It hasn’t been driven today. All of a sudden, the radiator fan started running - fast. It was so loud my wife could hear it in the house. What could cause that? Thanks.
