Hi, I'm Toni, from MN. And have a 2012 kia sportage. I've had it for 5 + years. I just recently had calipers, brake pads and rotors replaced. In the last 4 months, I've had to have a rotor in the back changed 4 times, due to a pin slipping and rubbing on the rotor causing damage. Tires plus decided to go to a different MFG the last time, in hopes it would take care of the problem, but nope...I have to take it in yet again for the same problem. It's getting old. Anyone have any ideas why this keeps reoccurring?
Ps, I would take it somewhere else, but I've already got 2 grand invested there, and they've been replacing the rotors for free.
Thanks in advance

Hey Toni,
Sorry to hear of your Kia dilemma.
4 times" some pin? In caliper came loose??
Rt.There i have problem w/that* Been wrenching on cars & motorcycles All my life...Never had a 4 time Anything come loose ! Anywho, has Anyone
Hooked An OBDII-Scanner to your Kia's Computer port ? Has anyone had the vehicle off the ground & verified the brakes Are NOT Dragging (not releasing completely?) Betting dollars to donuts there's a code there. Is The Engine light on? No code No Engine Light? =*Still, Have the Scanning tool perform an ABS Pump self test-also actuate
All Caliper valves=2 for each wheel-1 valve let's fluid into caliper-one let's fluid out~~if it can't get out The Caliper Can Not Release Completely!~as each valve is tested=See if wheels turn freely... etc....Our Kia Actually LOCKED THE Left rear Wheel ? At 1st wife said its losing power"=it Was Break Drag! (Which will wear out Rotors...)Till it finally locked! *It was the ABS Pump Assembly!
*Not the Pump section but The Valves/Solenoids* I got one ABS Assembly junkyard same yr...Swapped the Valve/Solenoid
Section on my unit....reinstalled...good to go.
Hope this helps
May not be your particular problem.
Good Luck.
