Have washed the car a few times now and what’s with the way they mounted the windshield wipers? Every car I have ever had, which is quite a few, I have always been able to lift up the wiper to clean the lower windshield. With this car you have to be careful and you can only lift if a little bit as the wiper arm hits the hood. Seems the only way around it is to raise the hood.

Not sure why they would design it this way. I must say this is my third Kia, loved the first two, a Sorento and Niro, this one not so much. Just seems to be one disappointment after another.

You have to put it in maintenance mode to raise the wipers and keep them up for changing. Turn car off, push wiper stalk and hold into mist position until wipers raise. Let loose of stalk and they will stay there until you start the car again. It's in your manual or there are plenty of videos on youtube for further clarification. Many cars have been doing this for a while, not just Kia.

Brilliant, thanks for that. Is there a way to turn off the collision avoidance tone. I went into set up and turned off everything I could find and the tone and image of the front right sensor never stops.

To have the wipers lift up you push the start button twice and immediately push the windshield wiper stalk on the steering column up. This will raise the wipers and freeze them in place. To lower them just push the start twice again and turn off the wipers.

Thanks for the heads up. I have not gone through the 200 page manual except for some things, would never have figured this one out intuitively.
