technology saved my ars 2 nights ago, pileup on an interstate at 65mph, 2 lanes pinching down to 1 and my collision system went off, I had just enough time to get control of my car before I hit the car I was following, the car beside me lane got smacked hard from behind sending him into my lane, was able to drive around him staying clear of the fender bender, whew! This Frontal collision avoidance system needs to be in every car, thousands of fender benders and beyond would stop... of course we could all just slow down... naw///love tech when it works.

This is what I love about the new safety technology. It's an extra pair of eyes when you need them. Glad to hear it helped prevent an accident!
 
As I have gotten older, I leave much more distance between me and the car ahead. The technology may be nice, but it is no substitute for being alert.
Absolutely. I still like having that technology in the event something happens - like a health issue that comes on abruptly and distracts me - or anything that has the potential to distract me. I like having that second pair of eyes...
