2021 LX Factory Stereo Upgrades

This is going to be an ongoing thread for upgrading my sound system utilizing the factory head unit.

I have equipment that I pulled out of my 2018 Soul that I'll be installing, eventually.

Due to the Bass Roll-off (bass only increases up to a certain volume, then stops) I've ordered an Audio Control LC2i that will bring the bass back.

Equipment to be installed is as follows:

Additional 55ah AGM Battery
Audio Control LC2i LOC
(2)DD Audio SL710 10" subwoofers
(2)DD Audio 6.5 Midrange (rear doors)
Rockford Fosgate P200.2 (driving 6.5's)
DD Audio DM1000a (driving Subs)
Custom Ported Enclosure built by ME 😁

Once I have these things installed, I'll reevaluate my SQ and SPL to determine if more is needed. Stay Tuned!20210516_160046.webp20210516_152822.webp
 
These are the pin-outs for the Non- Harmon Kardon Systems Head Unit. Unfortunately, I don't have color codes, yet. I'll post them if/when I find them

So with a slight modification (Dremel tool cutting wheel) I was able to install the DD Audio 6.5" in the rear doors.

I also tapped into the stock speaker wires (Left Rear - Black (+) Yellow (-) Right Rear - Green (+) Orange (-). At the plug harness that goes through pillar and door.

Also finished up my amp/battery rack and I can now install my amps and LC2i. Can't wait!!!!

We'll, I've changed things up a bit. Sold my 10's and got a major output upgrade.

Sundown U-12 D2 - Sundown SAE2000.1d - Custom Enclosure designed and built by Keith @ Down4Sound.com.
 
Thank you for taking the time to post this.

I put in a shallow 12 with low profile box and had the installer mount the amp under the driver's chair. I had the same setup in my soul(20) except the amp was under the passengers.

Yeah, I had a 2018 Soul and everything was under the floor in the rear. Sounded great, but I wanted more.😉
 
Changed to a 5-channel amp. That 2k watts was just TOO much.

New Amp is the Down4Sound JP95 - does over rated power on ALL channels. Rated 125×4 @4ohm and 900×1 @ 1ohm
