Best permanent option is to shim under the mounts where the seat is bolted in. You can get steel or preferably aluminum blocks the thickness of how much you want to shim.
You will need to obtain longer bolts to do this. MOST IMPORTANT! You must use the same hardened bolts as the ones being used now or you risk shearing in an accident situation so longer bolt in the same amount as the shim thickness and same quality bolt. Might want to have professional do this. Probably an inch max or so, more could throw off the NHSTAA accident rating on the seat.
Keep in mind the taller passengers will now be higher but happy wife - happy life.
