I've got a 2018 Kia Sportage LX AWD with 96K miles. I've been doing all the scheduled oil changes using Mobile One full synthetic since I purchased it at 29K miles. When I bought the car and brought it to my mechanic for the first time he warned me that the Theta engine would burn oil, which it did, typically a quart in between 3K oil changes; however, as of late I seem to be adding half a quart of oil every third fuel fill up which is beginning to concern me.
For whatever reason the YouTube algorithm has put in front of me videos regarding Valvoline's Restore & Protect oil, which on a few of these the presenters have claimed this oil after the third oil change using this product has knocked down the oil burning issue on their vehicles. I'm seriously contemplating trying this out, just wondering if anybody on this forum has tried this oil, and what are your experiences using it?
