Ok. Took my 2017 to a dealer. Won’t say which one. But, their service manager and I went round about. i am a former HVAC instructor Universal approved. That means Industrial, commercial, residential, auto. I have taught all these areas for 30+ years after being in the field 10. Been retired a few due to health issues so I couldn’t do the work required on my sportage. I looked up the issue through Kia and found a service bulletin for the vin. It required possible compressor replacement with a new compressor control valve. This valve operates the clutch less (actually has an internal clutch). Not viewable from the outside like traditional ones. Anyway I relay this to the service manager. I guess he and the tech didn’t read it and instead sent me a video saying of the existing compressor saying the problem was the clutch fell off! I immediately sent them another copy of the SB explaining the problem. So, they instead replace my compressor with a clutch one that is incompatible with my system. The evaporator tem sensor was also in the SB to be replaced. So after having an issue with the service manager denying everything. I tried the general manager and he never replied back. So they had me come pick it up no charge. But, it doesn’t work. Wrong compressr! They would not put the old one back even. So I have a clutch compressor on it. Anyway, I can’t get to it to work anymore. Any ideas?
