ENJOY working on vehicles? No.
I cook because I need to eat. I work on my vehicles because I can't pay to have everything done by a trained mechanic. Because of various issues, in 2 years, I've gone from having a Mazda Tribute I knew most things about, to Honda Civic I knew nothing about, to a Kia Sportage I can find nothing about.
It is incredible how few repair videos, and accurate and informative aftermarket or "shop manuals" there are on a 2008 Kia sportage 2.0l 4spd AT!
The manuals I've purchased are JUNK.
Even the freakin dealership seems at a loss sometimes. I learned there was a factory recall/replace on some.part of the brake system. It took FIVE TRIPS before they had the.right part and made the exchange!
A salvage yard finally obtained a 2005 Sportage, much like mine.
That's offered some relief, though there's no telling how long they'll have it.
Here's my VIN:
KNDJF724587466022.
Its Canadian built. Thus far, that hasn't proven a problem.
THANKS for offering to help. I'll take anything I can get and, in turn, will.also offer my assistance to anyone needing help with anything on which I've worked.
