I have a 2023 Kia Sportage X-line and experiencing multiple issues with the Infotainment system \ cruise control \ Kia application phone app. I am just wanting to know if anyone else is experiencing these issues as I am not getting much accomplished working with my dealer. Any input on this would be appreciated.

  1. Navigation Volume Control:
    • Unable to adjust navigation volume using steering wheel controls. ( Is anyone able to do this with the kia infotainment system itself ) I am trying to verify if this is even possible with the kia software.
    • Video evidence of this issue has been left with your team from yesterday's visit.
  2. Cruise Control Anomalies:
    • Cruise control consistently operates 1-2 mph below the set speed.
    • Extreme cases involve erratic acceleration attempts, causing a rocking sensation in the car.
    • Speed has been observed to drop as low as 6 mph below the set speed.
  3. Playlist Syncing and Touch Screen Issues:
    • The system fails to fully sync playlists from iPhone.
    • Attempted syncing may lead to screen freezing, rendering the touch screen unresponsive.
  4. Radio Volume Control Fluctuations:
    • Inconsistency with radio volume control behavior.
    • Sometimes, it requires doubling the sound levels to achieve the desired volume.
    • Noted this issue again during the drive home after the recent updates were applied.
  5. App Data Inaccuracies:
    • App incorrectly marks service milestones as complete without user interaction.
    • Specifically, I received an alert yesterday post-service indicating completion of the 72,000 mile service, though not marked off.
  6. Conflicting Service Recall Information:
    • App indicates an unresolved service recall.
    • Your computer system, as of yesterday's check, claims all recalls have been completed.
    • I checked this one with the VIN and it does not show any recalls currently needing to be completed by Kia website.

1). I believe this is set in the Settings menu. Not adjustable via steering wheel. When using Waze/CarPlay, it is adjustable!
2). No problems here. Maybe try a media system reset? Small hole/button near volume knob. Push & hold w/paper clip for 5 sec or so.
3). Maybe try using CarPlay for music instead? I deleted my Bluetooth settings and do everything I need - music, navigation, phone calls - via CarPlay. Bluetooth connection caused problems.
4). See 2) above. Do you have speed-based volume set in Settings?
5). See 2) above. I don’t use app, ‘cause I don’t have KIA Connect.
6). No idea.
