2025 Hybrid SX Prestige Trailer Harness Work on 2026?

Hello! I recently purchased our 2026 SX Prestige Hybrid and am adding a Class 3 hitch and want to add a 4-wire wiring harness. I see lots of options for the 2025 and am wondering if the 2026 is the same as the '25 in this regard.

I just did this for my ‘23 and I can recommend using the OEM wiring harness. Easy-peasy plug & play and no need to run a wire all the way to the engine compartment for power. Which means you can just get one through a dealer who will check your VIN for the right one. I went through one I found online and saved a bunch.
 
I have the 2026 Sportage SX Prestige and purchased both class 3 hitch and wiring harness from etrailer. The hitch works great but the etrailer recommended installer cannot install the wiring harness because there is no install diagram available yet for the 2026. It’s apparently not the same as the 2025. My Kia dealer also does not have the diagram for the 2026. Kia Customer Care sent me a link to kiatechinfo.com and they state that the diagram can be obtained there if I subscribe for $19 for 72 hours, $150 for a month, or 41500 for a year. This seems nuts to me and I haven’t done it since I’m not sure I believe the diagram would even be there. And why would Kia make a customer pay for this?
