Hi all , newbie here , I’ve had my Sportage hybrid since new 2022 . It’s been an excellent car and is used as a taxi . I’ve been off work for 2 weeks and came out to start the car today , couldn’t even get in the car , completely dead , now keyless entry, remote not working either. On further investigation thanks to YouTube I managed to unlock the car one I’d located the key lock . So I’ve got in the car and dashboard is completely dead . Pressed the 12v reset button and everything came back on . Seems ok now but is this normal? It’s only been sat 2 weeks ? Thanks Alan

The 12V system in the hybrids use part of the high voltage traction battery and the car is a dead duck if it let the 12V drain the traction battery too far. So it cuts it off at a point and provides that boost button to start it again. If you are using Kia Connect w/the app, it is constantly sending data, even when off. This is probably the biggest battery drain culprit, but there are also proximity sensors that are always on, etc. For long term storage, there is a black cable connector in the engine bay right next to the orange cable that is next to the passenger side strut tower. This is the 12V disconnect, but I believe you will lose your saved settings, etc.
