No cruise control. Sometimes works, sometimes it doesnt

Good day to u all.

So bought this 2016 sportage EX and after a week or so I decided to take a trip. Well when I press the on/off button for my cruise control the cruise light comes on as normal without any problems. When I press down on the set switch sometimes it set light comes on and sometimes it doesn’t. One minute I can press it once and it works, the next I have to press it 10 times before it comes on and engages.

I replaced the steering wheel controls figuring it might be a bad control and I’ve replaced the brake switch. Nothing changes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on where to look forward from this point

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. This one sounds pretty tricky so I'm going to leave it for anyone who may have experience with the issue. You already tried the most logical fix. Surprised that didn't do it...
