No spare Sportage Hybrid EX

The well in the cargo area seems to be big enough to handle a doughnut. Has anyone experimented with this situation. I don’t like being on the road in the boonies with no spare.

MY 2024 Sportage came a doughnut spare. The dealer said that the spare tire well would not fit a full size spare. I do not like doughnut spares so I had alocal tire shop pull my 18 inch rimmed tire to see if a full size spare would fit. And yes it did so he ordered a plain 18 inch rim and a matching tire. So now I feel better with a full size spare especially on long trips. I hope that this helps.

Only the Plug-in Hybrids do not come with any type of spare due to the battery and electrical equipment in that space.

Used to be LX was without a spare, too. But not sure about 24’s.

I bought my Kia Sportage Hybrid GT Line 2 months ago. I have fought with the dealer about the fact they gave me a space saver tyre when I was promised a full spare. They have denied this and told me it is due to it being too heavy for the battery. Like my arse isn't heavier??? Anyway, I am looking to get a spare and was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations.
