Hi. I hope I'm in the right section.

My new 2024 Sportage Xpro has 780 miles on it and has a dash error for Ultrasonic sensor issue. Is this a warranty repair that is usually denied?
There are no rock dents. The front isn't working but the back is.
If it is denied, I imagine I'd be stuck with a diagnosis fee which may be better served just buying a code reader and the part to fix it myself.

What code reader is decent for under $200? Will the Foxwell NT530 tell me which sensor is out or let me know if it is a wiring issue?

I'd like to hear any input on such experiences with Kia on these issues.

Thanks.

Experience depends on the dealer and their service department. I go to a dealer that has never rejected any repair I've had that was covered by warranty. Just take it in and see what they say, that's the first step. If there is a couple dealers near to you, if the first one rejects it, take it to another. Also, you can always call customer service and complain if they reject it and that may help. Good luck.

Ok so after them not covering it and charging me 200 to diagnose it, Im up to changing the sensors myself.
Another dealer is just another 200 so we are past that.
Does anyone know the exact part numbers for the front sensors, one is black and the other is pearl white.
