Preset seat settings

I am a new KIA Sportage wiener and I have a question about the preset seat settings. I have mine set to seat one, and I am the primary driver. However when my husband take the car and adjusts the seat, the next time I get in “seat one” setting is no longer there. Also I am winding if anyone knows why my seat setting isn’t saved under my name. When I start the car I pick who is driving but if my husband was the last driver my seat does not adjust to my preset. Hope this makes sense.
 
Sounds like you are using profiles. When you switch profiles, seat Setting 1 is always loaded. So in your profile, you should save your seat in Setting 1 and your husband should do the same in his profile. I kinda wish Setting 1 was always mine and Setting 2 was always hers, but selecting profiles will always flip them. We both also use the setting that retracts the seat all the way when exiting the car and I’m much taller than her, so when I get in the car and she used it last, the seat immediately reverts back to her profile seat Setting #1 and starts crunching me. I have to quickly hit the Setting 2 (where I have my seat settings saved in her profile) to stop it, and then switch to my profile where it then defaults to my seat Setting 1. Its confusing!
 
Also, maybe your husband is saving his seat settings in your profile Setting 1 by holding the #1 button too long? It only takes pressing about a full second to overwrite the settings. Is he pressing and holding the seat setting button, instead of just tapping it quickly? That will do it.
 
I found on our new car if I “Set” Seat 2 while I’m in my driver 2 profile it remembers it fine. When I get in after my wife, Profile one loads with seat setting 1 and when I select driver profile 2 my seat setting 2 is immediately applied.

I think you mean that your seat Setting 1 in profile 2 is applied? In ours, switching profiles always loads Setting 1 for that profile. So I have my settings saved in her profile setting #2 and my profile setting 1. Hers are the opposite. If Kia is reading this - please just skip saving seat settings w/profiles! That way I could always hit the setting 1 button when I get into the car, no matter what profile is currently defaulted. Associating seat settings w/profiles just makes it more complicated and inconvenient.

Hmm. Interesting thought. Maybe I’m Seat 2 in her profile and seat 1 in mine. Gonna have to test that theory. Thx
