Just going over things on our new Sportage Hybrid Prestige and the rear floormat is too large. It does not lie flat on the center hump. Anyone else with the KIA floor mat notice this. I am wondering if they gave us one for a Sorento.

Which reminds me, I have a brand new factory set for sale. I'm in the NOVA/DC area (Arlington). Make me an offer. Yes I know it would be nice to keep them in climate controlled storage for one day when I sell the vehicle but I don't have that kind of storage space.

Fast forward to September 2025 and I just purchased a 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid and the same thing is going on. The mat is too large and the dealer managed to find one that fits. Why is KIA doing this on such a low value item, but visually and functionally important?

Is the one the dealership found for you from a different year Sportage or different model?

Yes, they all seem to come that way. I upgraded with a more robust Tuxmat.
Is your Sportage a hybrid? If yes, please confirm that the "Gas" mats fit properly (Tuxmat doesn't list a "Hybrid" version). It just occurred to me that Tuxman's "Gas" category may comprise internal combustion engine and hybrid versions, as opposed to the EV category.

I THINK my son is off tomorrow. If I remember, I'm going to take a look at his.

Yes, a Hybrid. When I ordered my Tuxmats for my '23, there was a specific SKU for them, different from the gas and PHEV versions. What year is yours? I see on their web site that there are different ones (gas/hybrid) for the 26's and look different from mine from the pix. So different gas/hybrid versions for every model year so far, which makes sense.

The bummer is that it doesn't look like the 26's now cover the upright portion just below the front of Hybrid back seats. That was a nice feature to protect against muddy kids feet!

I went out and looked at my sons floor mats, and they also have the hump in the rear like you other guys. He said he doesn't care and is going to order some all weather mats off Amazon. I'll let you know if they fit right. He ordered the Karpal brand. He's going to order a cargo cover next month.

My son got the Karpal all weather mats on Tuesday and immediately installed them. They look great and are a perfect fit. I'll try to get photos later when he gets back from Georgia. He's going for lottery tickets since the morons that run this state STILL don't see the advantages of us having the lottery here. No telling how much revenue the state misses out on yearly as every state we border has the lottery. We're only about an hour away from Georgia or Tennessee and he travels to one or the other every month for lottery tickets. Every once in a while, he'll win enough to take us all out for a nice dinner. LOL
