No spare Sportage Hybrid EX

The well in the cargo area seems to be big enough to handle a doughnut. Has anyone experimented with this situation. I don’t like being on the road in the boonies with no spare.
 
Good Afternoon, I too just picked up my 2023 Sportage. Not the Hybrid but the LX. I was disappointed to see no spare, just the inflation kit. I was lucky during my Soul years and never needed it. But I agree, I don't want to need it and not have it. This is what I found and ordered at this website, https://www.quirkparts.com I haven't received it yet. I'll let you know.

I have been told that the hybrid Sportage does come with a spare. I happen to have a spare tire that fits from a Hyundai Ioniq five. I’ll See if that fits when I pick up the car.

I just recently got the Sportage XL Plug-in Prestige ... no spare came with it and where the spare would go, one would not fit due to a battery and I am guessing it is an inverter being placed in there.

I do have a brand new ModernSpare with tools and bag. $400 + shipping from Bradenton FL. 18” wheel
 
Just picked up my 2023 Sportage EX and it did come with a spare tire. Seems odd that some dealers would elect not to provide an actual spare. Perhaps ask your dealer?
 
Jumping in late here...but the Hybrid has enough room for a full size spare! Bought another kia rim and now I running 5 tires.
 
I live in a remote area with spotty cell service and a spare tire was a must-have for me. In shopping for a small hybrid SUV, I eliminated the Hyundai Tucson hybrid and the Honda CR-V hybrid because neither had a spare tire nor an option for one. With the CR-V, there was no room for a spare tire due to the battery below the rear deck.
I believe the Sportage Hybrid LX 2wd model did not have a spare tire, probably to save weight for better mileage.
 
My 2024 LX Hybrid has no spare. I don't know if I can fit one under the cargo area. I may have to mount it on my trailer tongue when I'm in camping mode and stick to the mobility kit around town.

I bought a brand new wheel With a Goodyear temporary tire on ebay for $200, shipping was included. I then purchased the carry bag from Modern Spare. I was not going to pay $500 plus $48 shipping from Modern Spare for a spare tire and wheel. I already have a 'gorilla wrench' and jack, so didn't need those. Saved myself about $288. I don't mind not having a spare around town here, but I don't want to be without one on a trip. Sure, we have road side assistance, but if you're stuck on the side of a highway, how long are you going to have to wait for help to arrive? I'll just throw it into the back when I go on a trip, even a short trip.
 
My 2023 EX Hybrid has a spare, although it is one of those "doughnut" spares. That is one of the features that led me to choose that trim level rather than the FWD LX. It looks like there is enough room to put a full-size spare in the compartment under the cargo area. The LX probably has the same body, it is just that they left out the spare to save cost and to save weight for better mileage.

There are places where you can buy spares. Search on-line.
No spare is one reason I ruled out the Honda CRV Hybrid. Not only no spare, but no room to put one.

Im in the process of buying 2024 sportage hybrid lx what size wheel did you buy and was it off a kia or hyudai model ? Im concerned about bolt pattern and bore not effecting awd.

I made a deal on 2024 sportage hybrid lx per the window sticker comes with a spare. Per sales person kia was getting a lot of pushback so they started to add the spare not sure when but it must have been done recently. Car is a dealer swap so look and report back.

Took delivery on 2024 sportage hybrid lx it came with donut spare.
